Dr. Gollo Huka Liben, the author of this book, is a proud son of the Borana people. Born and raised in the rural pastoral Borana community, he grew up as a shepherd, living in cattle satellite camps, drawing water from deep traditional wells, participating in armed conflicts, attending moiety meetings, and taking part in Borana Gummi assemblies.
